UEX Corp has increased the width of the new discovery zone along the western margin of the Orora Zone at the Christie Lake project in Canada. With its latest results, UEX said it had identified an ultra-high grade structural trap ranging from 8-16 meters wide, skirted by a halo of uranium mineralisation. President and CEO Roger Lemaitre said the team had begun to understand the orientation of the deposit and was eagerly awaiting the summer drill program.

UEX Corp rated highly in the RSC Mining & Mineral Exploration drill results table last month with earlier drilling from its winter program at Christie Lake. UEX has a 30% stake in Christie Lake and has the option to earn up to 70% of the project from private company JCU (Canada) Exploration. The results come as analysts talk up the uranium outlook and UEX says uranium is the only commodity in the world where mine supply has not met demand in more than 30 years.
